What is a Reply In Support Of A Motion For Relief from Default?

A reply in support of a motion for relief from default asks the court to relieve the default judgment imposed on the moving party as requested by the moving party. Reply papers will seek to refute the factual and/or legal arguments made in the opposition papers. They may also seek to strengthen the moving party’s position with new arguments, although some jurisdictions request that reply papers be limited to refuting arguments made by the opposing party.
