What is a Proposed Order?

A proposed order is a document that is permitted or required to be filed and served in a motion practice with moving and/or opposition papers. A proposed order will usually describe the relief sought by the moving party, or indicate the motion was denied if submitted by the opposing party, and provide a place for the signature of the judicial officer.
