What is an Opposition To An Ex Parte Motion?

An opposition to an ex parte motion requests that the court refuse to grant the requested relief. It will usually include an argument that the relief sought should have been sough on noticed motion. Opposition papers are usually supported by a statement of facts, a legal brief or memorandum with citations to legal authority, and if necessary, exhibits, declarations, and affidavits.
