What is an Opposition To A Motion To Strike?

An opposition to a motion to strike requests that the court decline to remove any matter from the pleading at issue. The opposition must argue that the matter asserted in the pleading at issue is relevant, true, proper and in conformity with the laws of the state. Opposition papers are usually supported by a statement of facts, a legal brief or memorandum with citations to legal authority, and if necessary, exhibits, declarations, and affidavits.
